Welly Trip

Welly Trip

Although it wasn't on the night it was meant to be, although the weather was lousy, those from tynefolk who made the annual pilgrimage to the Welly at Wolviston were rewarded with a night to remember. Wondeful singing, great harmonies and warm friendship. And to top it all Joyce won the raffle!

The evening was set from the moment the first pint of Bass, or Banker, was pulled. You just knew from the frothy head that a party was in the making. And so it was. From "Pleasant and Delightful" to "Maui" and all songs in between the rafters were lifted by the packed house. They even included a Carol Service at half time just to add to the festive occasion.

At the end of a splendid evening, it was ten happy tynefolkers who retired to the bar to cement old friendships, establish new ones and talk about the return match at the Black Bull next year.
